Satellite Phones are available for short or long term hire. Short term (less than 10 days), Sat-Phones can be picked up or dropped off at Mt Dare Hotel and the Birdsville Info centre. If a Sat-Phone is hired for more than 10 days it can be posted to or from anywhere in Australia after completing the hire contract.
All of our hire Sat-Phones are the brand new handheld Iridium 9555 phones by pivotel and are packed in a "Pelican case" with a 12 volt charger and instructions.
Hires rates:
4 – 10 days
Minimum hire period is 4 days $116.00
Additional days @ $29.00 per day
11 – 20 days
Minimum hire period is 11 days $220.00
Additional days @ $22.00 per day
21 - 40 days
Minimum hire period is 21 days $378.00
Additional days @ $18.00 per day

Government subsidies of $1000 are available to people or business' that live or work in an area not covered by the Mobile Phone network bringing the cost of the Sat-Phone down to a low $999, conditions apply.
